Short-Term Trip to Rosarito, Mexico
Country Overview
Mexico is a country full of color, tradition, and deep community roots. Daily life blends family gatherings, vibrant markets, and strong cultural pride with the challenges many families face, especially in rural or low‑income areas. While modern cities bustle with activity, many communities live simply, relying on local work, resourcefulness, and the support of neighbors. Despite economic hardships, the spirit of the Mexican people shines through—hospitality, resilience, and joy are woven into everyday life, creating a culture where relationships matter, and faith and family remain at the center.
Ministry Overview
Our ministry work in Mexico takes place in Rosarito, a vibrant community just south of Tijuana. Part of this trip connects directly with our Backpacks to Mexico outreach, allowing us to partner with the same team that distributes the backpacks once they arrive in the country. While in Rosarito, we come alongside local churches and orphanages—serving shoulder‑to‑shoulder with them and supporting whatever projects or needs are most pressing in their community.
Trip Details
The Mexico trip is an 8‑day experience, and we intentionally keep our team size to around 12 people to create meaningful service opportunities and a strong sense of community.
Our next team will travel October 13–20, 2026.
The cost of the trip—$800 per person—covers transportation from the San Diego airport into Mexico, all in‑country travel, meals, construction project supplies, mission‑trip travel insurance, and our local experience day. You’ll only be responsible for meals during travel days, snacks, and souvenirs.
We’ll spend most of our time in Rosarito on the Baja Peninsula, staying at Connections House, a safe and welcoming guesthouse owned by the missionaries we partner with. It’s a comfortable home base for serving and building relationships throughout the week.
